This week starts my busiest time of year: Senior Portrait Season!


As a Virginia Tech student I love this time of year when everything is blooming and seniors are all over the place taking pictures. Below are some tips and ideas for your upcoming senior session.

Location, Location, Location


At Virginia Tech this part is easy.


There are so many iconic and unique places to take photos. Here are some ideas...

  • Greek Life Housing
  • Duck Pond

  • Freshman Dorm

Making Your Photos Unique


While taking photos at similar locations in similar outfits can seem boring, here are some ways to make your photos stand out.

  • Candid Photos
  • Groups Sessions/Couple Sessions
  • Changing up locations to be more personal to you
  • Colorful Accessories
  • Bringing your dog
  • Bringing props (champagne, confetti, pennant, etc.)
