Euro Summer!

This summer I had another opportunity to study abroad, but this time in Greece! I was in Thessaloniki, Greece, for six weeks and just flew back home yesterday. My time in Greece went by SO fast, I can't believe that I'm already home.

While I was there I got to visit so many amazing places including Santorini, Crete, The Sporades, Athens, and last but not least PARIS! I planned a last minute trip to Paris the last weekend of my program, and I do not regret a thing.

Athens

The first weekend that we were in Greece, our program went to Athens. I honestly wasn't expecting to love this city as much as I did. I had seen so many things online about how bad this city was, but I loved it. Athens is filled with history, amazing food, and fun night life. If you are in Greece you need to spend more time, it is more than just a place to catch a ferry from.

Santorini

This trip was an "educational" trip with my class. During my six weeks I was taking "Greek Wine Business" a super serious class. We only had a short weekend here, but filled it with 5 winery visits, beach days, and so much shopping. While it was very crowded and touristy, it 100% lives up to the hype. Fira is beautiful and a must see. Your Instagram will thank you if you visit!

The Sporades Islands

Otherwise known as the Mamma Mia Islands, the Sporades need to be added to your bucket list! My program does a 4-day sailing trip around this island chain, a truly unforgettable experience. These islands are filled with so much greenery, which is different from the other island chains around the country. Everything about this trip was perfect.

Chania, Crete

This is another must see island. The food alone is a reason to visit, I had the best meals of the entire trip in Chania. A group of us went and we rented a car the first day and trekked to Elafonissi Beach, the best beach in the world (literally). That beach was something out of an Avatar movie, truly AMAZING. The whole trip was absolutely gorg!

Paris

As I stated before, this was very spontaneous! This was also my very first solo trip. I found a cheap flight to Paris one night at dinner and booked it on the spot. Paris has been my dream trip for literally my entire life, so I had to go. With 4 days notice I booked a hotel, made dinner reservations, and got tickets for all of my dream destinations. I was able to fit so much in this trip because I was on my own (totally recommend going on a solo trip in your 20s). The first day alone I was able to visit the Louvre, cruise the Seine at sunset, and go to an exclusive steak frites hotspot. The second day I booked a food tour in the Le Marais district (you need to do this) it took a lot of the confusion out of trying to find all of the best Paris spots. It also allowed me to meet new people and also made me feel safer alone in a big city. The third day was dedicated to shopping, it was also raining. This trip was an absolute dream, and I need to go back ASAP!

What the rest of the summer looks like...

Now that I am home I have completely jumped into Summer photo season! I have been updating socials, responding to emails, and planning some fun summer sessions that are coming up. I can't wait to start taking photos again, and I can't wait to meet all of my new clients this summer. Stay tuned for updates and happy summer!
