Turning 20, Blacksburg Style

A couple Fridays ago was my 20th birthday, and it was perfect.

The day started off with me talking with my best friend, and birthday twin Bella. Then I headed to campus for my Friday class, Principles of Teamwork. After 50 minutes of building marshmallow towers I headed back home to meet a local baker to pick up our birthday cake. We got it from Sugar and Butter Bakery here in Blacksburg, highly recommend. After stowing the cake in the fridge we headed to my fave, Dollar Tree, to pick up some party supplies.

Once we got home I set off on the daunting task of making a balloon arch, without an air tank... My lungs are still recovering. After about two hours the balloons were finally ready to hang with the banner Bella made earlier this summer, so so happy on how both turned out.

The Finishing Touches

After taking an extremely long time to hang everything up, we finally started to prep the apartment. I made a cheese board, we got a drink station ready, tidied up, and then got myself ready.

Luckily, I got a NUULY package and Amazon package in the mail right before our party, so I had a lot of outfit options. NUULY has saved me so many times already and it's only my second month with a subscription.

Overall, my birthday was so much fun, especially compared to my freshman year where I had just moved into college and hadn't met many people yet. It was great to see all of our friends and meet new ones.
